Space is a Network.
Constellations is Your Connection.

The AFRL is focused on the next generation of autonomous spacecraft. One of its research scholars from the University of Florida recently investigated methods to help predict satellite system failures. Constellations spoke to the student as part of a spotlight on university research.

Constellations spoke with Bill Milroy, Chairman and CTO of ThinKom, a developer of antenna systems, on the rapid change in space and satellites, and the challenge for a new generation of antennas, such as phased arrays, to support the need for connectivity in an increasingly diverse spectrum environment.

The Maxar-EchoStar settlement announced Nov. 22 will reduce Maxar’s projected 2022 adjusted EBITDA by $65 million and cut 2023 free cash flow by $50 million to $60 million. In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Maxar said Jupiter 3, already two years late, is 96% complete, has completed thermal-vacuum testing and is now undergoing final performance tests.
