Agility at the Heart of Your Ground System
The explosive growth of satellites, demand for bandwidth and rapid changes in missions have outpaced rigid, hardware-centric ground architectures that cannot reconfigure or scale fast enough.
To support modern space operations, the industry now requires a ground architecture that can adapt to customer demand, evolve with new competitive pressures and support new technologies.
The OpenSpace Platform is built from the ground up as a cloud-native, software-defined ground system that keeps pace with space.
OpenSpace: The Adaptive Next
Generation Ground System
The OpenSpace Platform was built from the ground up and includes four layers:
- OpsCenter® Design, monitor, and control (hardware and virtual functions), troubleshoot and report on services across the ground system.
- Controller Directs how service chains are deployed and can automatically spin service chains up or down to support changing conditions.
- Virtual Network Functions Software functions that are connected into service chains to be deployed as services.
- Digitizer Convert RF signals into VITA-49 IP packets for transport over any distance and network.
