This panel discussion “What Have We Learned and Where’s the Satellite and Space Industry Headed” recorded at the 2018 Kratos Users Conference brought industry leaders together to discuss where the satellite and space industry has been and where it’s likely to go in the future. Thierry Guillemin, President of New Space Directions moderated the panel which was comprised of Dan Sullivan, CTO at Kratos Federal; Eric Watko, EVP, Product, Marketing, & Strategy at SES Networks; Pedro L. Molinero, Managing Director and Satellite Fleet Operations Head at Hispasat and Ken Betaharon, EVP and CTO at ABS. Highlights of the discussion included predictions about new applications on the horizon, how the industry will consume the projected vast increase in capacity - and if it will even be enough and finally if the holy grail of standardization within the satellite industry is just a pipe-dream, or might actually happen.
